Irini Tzortzoglou, the winner of 2019’s prestigious MasterChef competition, has just completed her first cookbook, ‘Under the Olive Tree’, which will be published and launched in July this year. We’re very proud of the fact that a significant part of the photography for the book was styled and shot right here in our Mungeon Barn. The large open space kitchen and living area offered Irini, the food stylists, home economist and photographer ample space to create and shoot the dozens of delicious Greek-inspired dishes that will appear in the new book this summer.
March is a very special time of year in the Lake District. The region bursts into a riot of golden daffodils, and you can see adorable newborn lambs gambolling in the fields. It’s a time of renewal and a wonderful time to explore the Lake District.
