Mungeon Barn is a detached stone barn conversion, luxuriously converted to a stunning Lake District holiday cottage in an upside-down style. The open plan living accommodation on the first floor is accessed by a glass and oak suspended staircase and has a vaulted ceiling with oak beams.
At one end the beautifully designed modern kitchen has a breakfast island, a lovely wooden dining table to seat 8 people and top quality appliances to provide for all your catering requirements. At the other end are comfy sofas to sink into and relax around the large wood-burning stove.
Downstairs are the master bedroom with an ensuite shower room, two king-size double bedrooms, a twin room, a superb family bathroom and a shower room with Monsoon shower.
Externally the slated patio provides spacious al fresco dining with a built-in BBQ and and dining table with fantastic views over the estate.
Mungeon Barn is perfectly located for exploring the southern and central Lake District, being only 3 miles from Newby Bridge at the foot of Lake Windermere. Also nearby is the quaint and historic village of Cartmel, a popular tourist destination and famous for its sticky toffee pudding, its 12th century Priory and race course. For its size it boasts an impressive number of high quality cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops, especially antique shops. Cartmel also regularly pays host to an Antiques Fair.
