Horse Spout, a 5 star Lake District Luxury Lodge
Exclusive self catering accommodation Near Cartmel
Horse Spout is one of the latest additions to our six exclusive architect designed Lakesteads, or Lake District holiday lodges, completed in summer 2018. It is situated in tranquil surroundings in the Lake District National Park. These luxury holiday lodges are approximately 3 miles from the historic village of Cartmel, a popular tourist attraction famous for its sticky toffee pudding, medieval Priory and local race course. It has several high quality cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops. Cartmel also regularly pays host to a local Antiques Fair.
Otter Tarn is just 3 miles from Newby Bridge at the foot of Lake Windermere, England's largest lake, and the perfection location from which to explore the southern and central Lake District. You can also enjoy a cruise on Lake Windermere, the nearest departure point is Lakeside where you can also take a ride on the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway.
The lodge looks straight out across its own sloping lawn towards a wooded area. It is exceptionally private and in an unbeatable location. There are also lawns to the left and the right. Behind Horse Spout is more woodland that in Spring is festooned with wild garlic and bluebells. It's a sight to behold! Here you will find the hot tub, set within a dry stone wall on the edge of the wood. Imagine relaxing in the hot tub with a glass of bubbly and the delicate aroma of the bluebells. Absolutely perfect!
To the left of the property Horse Spout has partial Lake views from two super king bedroom as well as from the decking and the hot tub.
A barn owl lives in the wood opposite and for this reason we commissioned a painting of a barn owl for Horse Spout.
