Directions

Exit the M6 at Junction 36 onto the A590 westbound and continue along the A590 following signs for Ulverston and Barrow. The route is mainly dual carriageway until just before Newby Bridge.

Just beyond Newby Bridge, after a short stretch of dual carriageway, you'll see the Lakeland Motor Museum on the right and then a turning to the Whitewater Hotel. Take the next turning on the left, signed Brow Edge. It's about 100 yards further on.

Follow this lane up the hill until you reach a T Junction opposite the entrance to Bigland Hall. Turn left here and continue for approx. half a mile. Otter Tarn is on the left and is clearly signed.
