Mungeon Barn is a beautifully restored stone barn that blends striking contemporary design with the timeless character of the Lake District. Converted into an elegant upside-down layout, the barn feels light, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, with vaulted ceilings, exposed oak beams, and high-quality finishes creating a calm yet luxurious atmosphere from the moment you arrive.

The first-floor open-plan living space forms the heart of the barn, accessed via a striking glass and oak staircase. A sleek, fully equipped kitchen with a central breakfast island flows effortlessly into a generous dining area, while deep, comfortable sofas gather around a large wood-burning stove, perfect for relaxing together after a day exploring the fells. Sleeping eight guests, the barn offers four beautifully presented bedrooms, including a master bedroom with en-suite shower room, two king-size doubles, and a twin room. A stylish family bathroom and an additional shower room ensure comfort and privacy for everyone, and a spacious separate utility room with a washer and dryer, ideal for families and for storing hiking gear, clothing, and boots.

Outside, a private slate patio invites relaxed al fresco dining, complete with a built-in barbecue and open views across the surrounding estate. Ideally located for exploring the southern and central Lake District, Mungeon Barn is just a short drive from Lake Windermere and the historic village of Cartmel, renowned for its food scene, independent shops, and famous sticky toffee pudding-making it a perfect base for memorable group getaways.
