Tewets is a beautifully designed luxury lodge set within the peaceful surroundings of Otter Tarn, offering a refined Lake District escape immersed in nature. One of a small collection of architect-designed Lakesteads, the lodge sits within the Lake District National Park, providing a sense of privacy and calm while remaining perfectly placed for exploring the region.

The lodge is ideally located just a short drive from the historic village of Cartmel, renowned for its food scene, traditional pubs, independent shops, medieval Priory, and famous sticky toffee pudding. Nearby Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, offers scenic cruises and lakeside walks, while the surrounding countryside invites relaxed exploration of the southern and central Lake District.

Inspired by its natural setting, Tewets features a commissioned painting of a hare, reflecting the wildlife that frequents the lodge’s surroundings. Overlooking a maturing rockery, guests often spot the resident hare quietly going about her day, adding to the lodge’s sense of connection with nature.

To the front, manicured lawns create an open, welcoming outlook, while to the rear, the lodge borders peaceful woodland, where spring brings a stunning display of bluebells. Tucked beside traditional Lakeland dry stone walls, the private hot tub offers a serene space to unwind, perfect for soaking beneath open skies, surrounded by birdsong and the deep tranquillity that defines Otter Tarn.
