Lakeside bliss
Nature Lovers Sanctuary
Just a short drive away, the historic village of Cartmel offers a vibrant mix of renowned dining, traditional pubs, independent shops, and its medieval Priory, alongside its famous sticky toffee pudding and popular racecourse. Nearby Lake Windermere provides scenic cruises and lakeside walks, making Neddy Cut an ideal base for discovering the southern and central Lake District.
As one of the original Lakesteads built at Otter Tarn, Neddy Cut was initially the lodge closest to the lake, inspiring a commissioned painting of an otter that reflects the wildlife of the tarn. It is also the only lodge designed with full wheelchair access, featuring a ramp to the front entrance, an accessible bedroom, and a fully adapted en-suite with level access, a shower seat, and accessible sink.
The hot tub is positioned in a sunny spot to the front of the lodge, accessed via steps from the decking and enclosed by traditional Lakeland dry stone walls for privacy. From here, views extend across well-kept park lawns, with woodland and the tarn visible to the right, creating a calm and welcoming setting for a truly inclusive Lake District escape.
